Grow-NY Winner RealEats to Partner with GNC
Year 1 Grow-NY winner RealEats is collaborating with national nutrition and fitness chain GNC to take its innovative meal-delivery service nationwide. The launch, which serves as GNC’s entry into the meal-delivery market, gives RealEats the opportunity to expand its product reach throughout the United States.
RealEats, based out of Geneva, NY, took home the grand prize of $1 million at Grow-NY’s first-ever summit in 2019. The company’s mission? Making it easy and convenient for people to eat nutritiously. RealEats offers subscribers weekly deliveries of pre-cooked and vacuum-sealed nutritious meals, often locally sourcing their ingredients from farms throughout the Finger Lakes region.
“It is our mutual goal to make it easier to live a healthy lifestyle, and this relationship will help us make a positive impact on the nutritional health of millions more people by providing this as a cost-effective yet high-quality option through GNC,” Rachel Jones, GNC’s Chief Nutrition Officer, said in a statement.
This partnership marks a significant touchstone in RealEat’s remarkable success. Since winning in 2019, the company has expanded its product line, created nearly a dozen new jobs in the region, and was recognized as the 2020 Venture Investment Deal of the Year by Upstate Capital.
“We are thrilled to partner with GNC and join their eight-decade commitment to helping people live mighty, live fit, and live well,” said Dan Wise, Founder and CEO of RealEats. “I started RealEats as a busy, single dad who wanted to provide fresh, nutritious dinners for my two young boys, but didn’t have the time to do grocery shopping, prepping, cooking and cleaning. Through this new partnership with GNC, we will be able to deliver our nutritious and delicious meals to a whole lot more people.”
Beginning in late 2021, exclusive RealEats meal bundles will be available through GNC.com. Learn more about the exciting new launch here.
